Aubrey Whitecotton
Photographer | Videographer | Designer
Aubrey Whitecotton is a dedicated photographer, videographer, and designer with a passion for capturing the beauty of the world through her creative lens. A graduate of the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology, where she studied scientific photography, Aubrey has cultivated a unique approach that combines technical precision with artistic expression.Growing up in a family that frequently moved across the United States, Aubrey was exposed to a variety of landscapes and cultures, which fueled her artistic curiosity. Her journey into photography began when she entered—and won—a military photography competition for children, earning her first camera, a Nikon D90. This moment sparked a lifelong love for photography and storytelling. Over the years, her work has received numerous accolades in international photography competitions.
Aubrey’s career has been equally remarkable. She spent four years as a Visual Information Specialist with the U.S. Geological Survey, where she honed her skills in design and visual communication. After leaving the federal government, she joined PrideVR, a pioneering pride organization, where she has used her expertise in photography and design to support and celebrate LGBTQ+ initiatives. As a trans woman, Aubrey is especially proud of her contributions to projects that promote diversity, inclusivity, and equality.
For Aubrey, photography is more than just art—it’s a way of seeing, understanding, and sharing the world. Whether she's creating striking family portraits or designing materials to communicate complex ideas, Aubrey approaches every project with passion and professionalism.
Join Aubrey on her journey as she continues to explore, capture, and share the world around her—one image at a time.
